The first time I got to play with Photoshop when I was a teenager, I was immediately drawn to it and quite good at it, I soon learned how to use a digital camera and the rest is history. Not to flex, but even other wedding photographers hire me to edit their work (including two NFL weddings I can't name but definitely brag about).

Weddings never get old for me; the whole "two people finding each other out of billions" thing feels like magic, and I'm honored to playa small role in documenting it.

Hi, I'm Andy

My journey as a wedding photographer goes back to high-school when I took a graphic design class that had a chapter in digital photography and photoshop. I discovered a new hobby and passion, almost as much as I liked playing guitar and daydreaming about playing in a band. I later started a band and spent most of my 20's playing shows. During this time, I wore many hats that included handling all the marketing for my band. I used my design and photoshop skills to make posters, merch, album covers, websites, etc. Soon, other bands started hiring me to work on their marketing materials. It wasn't long before one thing led to another and I was asked if I could photograph a wedding, which of course I said "heck yeah!"

The most loveable velvet ears in the world. Rosita is my office manager that tells me when it's time to stop editing and go outside.

Funny enough, a wedding is the reason Rosita came into my life. I was killing time at a pet store next to a UPS Store (I had to ship a wedding album to one of my couples but the line was so long and not moving). I spotted a basset hound puppy, I played with her for ten minutes and immediately wanted to rescue her out of that sad place, but I know better to not support a pet store. I left my number with a lowball offer, less than 50% of the asking price, fully expecting nothing. A week later, they called and said ok. And that’s Rosita's origin story.

It's rare for me to go a day without playing my electric guitar. I have a collection of pedals that requires it's own closet. What are pedals? You know, those stomp boxes that go on the floor that musicians tap-dance to activate effects on and off. Most people don't know but pedals are a hobby within a hobby. There are so so many of them, endless combinations and applications. One can easily get lost going down the rabbit holes of different configurations and demos.

Here's a snippet of a loop I composed using my guitar and pedals, paired with clips of a whimsical afternoon featuring Rosita (the sky was really that purple that day right before sunset).
